History of CSR
CSR sugar has a long and colourful history stemming back 160 years to the early stages of Australian colonisation. Our colonial forefathers recognised the need for a local source of sugar to sustain themselves and set about planting sugar cane and setting up mills and the initial refinery in Sydney in 1855. Since then, CSR sugar has continued to provide Australia with the highest quality sugar across a broad range of products and formats. CSR stands for the ‘Colonial Sugar Refining Company’.
