One of the Salvation Army’s key fund raising activities for Christmas is its Plum Pudding program. Premium quality and gourmet-styled puddings are sold to the public in two sizes, 900 and 500 grams. The proceeds enable the Salvation Army to give more than 300,000 Australian kids and families the chance to celebrate Christmas.
The Salvation Army has chosen to use CSR Sugar, the best sugar available to make delicious plum pudding. CSR Dark Brown Sugar and CSR Treacle add a caramel fudge flavour and rich texture to this treat, a perfect end to the Australia family Christmas feast.
In return, Sugar Australia supported the Salvation Army in its mission, by donating hundreds of kilograms of CSR Dark Brown Sugar and CSR Treacle. Thorough this program, CSR Sugar is able to support a great Australian tradition and allow many families to enjoy Christmas.
The spirit of the season and the Salvation Army’s heartfelt appreciation can be clearly seen through this exchange between Major Wayne Pittaway, the Salvation Army’s Divisional Secretary, and Tim Hart, Sugar Australia’s CEO.
